Here's Sony's full 2020 TV lineup.

Not to be left out of the TV fun at CES 2020, Sony has announced its latest crop of big-screen televisions, including 8K resolution sets in 75- and 85-inch sizes, new 4K LED televisions that max out at 85 inches, and of course its next generation of OLED TVs that range up to 65 inches. But the biggest news is the smallest size: just like LG, Sony will be selling a 48-inch OLED TV in 2020. As the newest member of Sony's Master series high-end line, however, it's sure to be more expensive than the 48-inch LG CX.

Vizio's least expensive 2019 TVs with 4K HDR capability, the V-Series didn't impress us as much as any of the other TVs on this list. Only some models in the line get full-array local dimming and this 70-incher isn't one of them. If you're a Sam's Club member, however, you might be tempted anyway by this crazy-low price for such a big TV.

If you want a superb picture but just can't stomach an OLED TV, this is your best bet. And during this sale it's $900 less than the cheapest OLED -- matching its Black Friday low. The Vizio PX has superb light output no OLED can match, top-notch local dimming and all the high-contrast, high dynamic range joy that comes with it. Its closest competitor is the TCL 8 series -- but this Vizio is a far superior value.

Interestingly, only the X900H is listed as compatible with the ATSC 3.0 broadcast standard, now called Next Gen TV, but not any of the other more-expensive sets. LG also announced a few models with the built-in ATSC 3.0 tuner, but they're all higher-end.

Vizio says these prices will be good through May 3. Soon after that its new 2020 TVs will start showing up, but we don't expect their prices to fall nearly as far for months (if ever). In other words, a 2019 TV is still worth buying now.

Sony promises the best picture and sound quality from the new range by incorporating several proprietary technologies. For instance, the company is rolling out its Picture Processor X1 Ultimate to every set of the new line, which had previously been the reserve of the Master series.

The protective screens will kill 99.9% of surface bacteria, an OtterBox spokesperson told CNET. The glass is treated with silver ions, the substance that provides the antimicrobial protection. It's the only EPA-registered glass protector on the market, the spokesperson said. The screens are lightweight and look like others on the market from OtterBox and Corning.

Full Array LED  ورق تایوانی

Given that three more manufacturers -- Vizio, Konka and Skyworth -- will be offering (presumably budget) OLEDs this year, it will be interesting to see if Sony can sustain a high-end range. Especially when models like the 48-inch OLED directly mirror LG's own offerings this year.

This is the one series we didn't review, but based what we saw of the M8 above and P-Series Quantum X below, we expect this set to have excellent image quality as well. The main differences over the M8 are more local dimming zones, higher contrast and 120Hz capability. This is our least favorite of the three -- the M8 is a better value and the PX has a better picture -- but it's still a very good value.

This Vizio fell just short of our Editors' Choice TCL 6-Series in picture quality, but at this price it's definitely a superior value. The M8 still has an excellent picture though, thanks to full-array local dimming and superb color accuracy.
